Tribal Quest

"...beauty inspiration from Mother Africa."
Another fab spread by the guys at Pride Magazine -UK.
I'm loving all the accessories, especially that headpiece in the third pic.
I can't imagine where I would wear it to, but I want it.

Nicholas Kirkwood x Liberty

"Summer 2010 sees Flower Power blossom in the heart of London as Liberty celebrates its famous florals with a year-long programme of activity and events championing creativity, rebellion and love. Resplendent in this Flower Power is an exclusive, limited edition capsule collection by Nicholas Kirkwood using Liberty fabric.
From the Liberty archives Kirkwood selected Bounty - a print of exotic parrot tulips and Santa Maria - a tea dress print from the early 90s. Choose from cut out detail sandal with a buckle strap with cigarette heel and a classic peep toe pump with a rose lacquer heel."

The Rain [Supa Dupa Fly]

This brings back so many happy childhood memories.
Especially the ones of staying at my cousin, Jessica's house and watching music videos on 'The Box' music channel. We didn't have cable at home, so visiting her was always a chance to catch up...haha!
I also remember the day I first saw this video and how completely blown away I was.

Inspired by emotions

Brest, France

After looking at her collection of work I may have to mention Liliwenn, alongside Blu and JR as one of my favourite street artists. Her use of color is excellent, and you can really feel the raw emotion in her pieces.

I am addict.. my substance is the painting.. my motor is emotions.. my gallery is everywhere..... Sweet insanity..... My mind is here and elsewhere.. elusive.. unpredictable.. aspirated by inspiration & inspired by emotions.

Mila's Daydream

Mila's Daydream by Adele Enersen. While Mila is taking her nap Enersen imagines what she would be dreaming about and tries to capture it. She says:

“This is my maternity leave hobby. While my baby is taking her nap, I try to imagine her dream and capture it.”
She uses fabric and cloth to recreate these fairy tale like dreams. Too cute!

Patience is a virtue

Microscopic artist Dalton Ghetti spends up to two-and-a half years painstakingly crafting each handmade piece on the graphite of a pencil.

Mr Ghetti, who works as a carpenter, has been working with pencils for about 25 years and his sculptures include Elvis, the entire alphabet, linking chains and even an entire church which is just 10mm tall.
